RLI at Recent Conferences
 We
would like to thank everyone who attended the 2009 International Laser Safety Conference
(ILSC) or the ASLMS Annual Conference. Both conferences were a great
success and it was a pleasure to meet those of you who stopped by our
booths.
RLI Consultants Publish Paper
An article concerning the integration of fiber lasers into
material-processing systems was recently written by RLI consultants
Tom Lieb, Jay Parkinson, and RLI president Bill Ertle, and published
in the April issue of Laser Focus World. The paper deals with
the challenges that are faced when trying to comply with laser safety
regulatory agencies.
RLI President Talks About Laser Safety
RLI president Bill Ertle was recently interviewed for an article in
the May, 2009 issue of Photonics Spectra. The

groups, and diode lasers. It also provides graphs of beam irradiance
or radiant exposure for unaided or optically aided viewing and from
visual interference, which are self scaling and labeled. LAZANTM
Premium is designed for advanced
applications, such as those found in a research environment. For
