RLI President Bill Ertle to Speak at SigmaTEK
SigmaTEK Systems in Cincinnati, OH will be hosting the SigmaTEK Academy Seminar Series on Manufacturing Productivity from October 5-8, 2010. RLI president Bill Ertle will be speaking about Laser Safety on October 5th.

SigmaTEK Academy is a four day event, each day specifically designed to provide targeted information tailored to different machine processes: Laser Cutting, Plasma Cutting, Sheet Metal/Punch & Bend and Waterjet Cutting. Admission to the seminars and the exhibit area is free and lunch will be provided for all attendees.


RLI and Bioptica Team Up for Laser Safety Masterclass
RLI, in partnership with Bioptica in the United Kingdom, will hold another in the series of Cambridge Laser Safety Courses from September 21-23, 2009. This three-day Laser Safety Masterclass is an in-depth course for those who a need to deepen their understanding of laser safety issues. The Masterclass is especially suitable for Laser Safety Officers (LSOs), Laser Protection Advisers (LPAs), development engineers and others who are involved in quantitative hazard assessment for product classification or exposure evaluation, and who require a more detailed working knowledge of the relevant safety standards while also developing their competence in risk assessment and safety management.
