Course Level Designations |
100 Level Courses
Courses which are listed 100-level are designed to give the student a solid introduction to the topic presented by the course. Students with
limited laser/optics background would be prime candidates for these courses.
200 Level Courses
The 200-level courses expect the student to have a general understanding of laser/optics. These courses primarily assume a general knowledge on
the part of the student and concentrate more on the topic at hand.
300 Level Courses
The 300-level courses are advanced courses designed to enhance the breadth of knowledge and job skills of a student who is already proficient in
the course topical area. |

RLI is a leader in providing laser safety training at all levels. Training courses are routinely conducted at the client's
location for the purpose of providing basic laser safety training to engineers, designers, management assembly technicians, installation and field
service personnel, management. All RLI courses can be tailored to the specific requirements of applications at your facility. Emphasis can be centered
on laser uses in industrial, medical, entertainment, airspace, military, or other related areas and include reviews of the federal, state and local
regulations applicable at the site.

RLI can provide the Standard Laser Safety courses in various durations. For example, RLI provides a standard one-half day
Basic Laser Safety program which covers the protection of workers, and inspection (where applicable) of areas where lasers are installed and tested. RLI
also offers a one-day "Laser Safety Awareness" course, a two-day "Laser Safety" course, a three-day "Basics of Lasers and Laser
Safety" course, and a four-day "Laser Safety Officer" course.
RLI utilizes a number of consultants to provide the on-site training. Each of the RLI consultant staff brings a unique
expertise to your facility and training program. In addition, all of RLI's standard training institute courses are available to be taught at your
facility and training program.
RLI Training Philosophy
The RLI Training Institute and on-site training programs were established in 1978 to provide a variety of laser courses
to both the industrial and medical professions. Through the years, courses were developed to fit needs of the laser community which varied in levels of
complexity.
