RLI Staff and Consultants to Attend IEC Committee Meetings

RLI staff and consultants will be attending this years committee meetings in Frankfurt Germany from September 23rd through the 27th. RLI President Bill Ertle and RLI Consultant Jerry Dennis will chair and lead the TC 76 Optical Radiation Safety ad Laser Equipment discussions.

TC 76 Scope: To prepare international standards for equipment (including systems) incorporating lasers (and light emitting diodes) or intended only for use with lasers, including those factors introduced by the use of lasers which are needed to characterize equipment and/or which are essential to safe use. The scope includes the preparation of standards applying limits as determined by organizations such as ICNIRP and CIE, to human exposure to optical radiation (100 nm to 1 mm) from artificial sources. Laser Enclosure Design and Manufacturing

RLI provides both manually operated and automated laser enclosures. We can also assist designers in the proper design and implementation of their own laser enclosures.
